WEST COVINA >> For 13 years, whenever David Miyahira gazed over the edge of his backyard he'd see a blue-green pond full of fish and encircling waterbirds.
"My wife, Vivian, who is Chinese, believes in feng shui. She says if that pond goes away we will have to leave. It brings balance and a sense of energy," he said.
