DUARTE >> A female bear cub on the loose in a residential neighborhood drew curious onlookers in Duarte Sunday before a game warden shot it with a tranquilizer dart.
The bear was reported to be in the 1400 block of Royal Oaks Drive about 3 p.m. and deputies from the sheriff's Duarte Station spotted it about 20 minutes later, according to the station watch commander.
