SIERRA MADRE >> Fireighters put out a small brush fire at a local park and rescued a 54-year-old Sierra Madre man they discovered hanging from a tree on Tuesday.
Bailey Canyon Wilderness Park at 451 W. Carter Ave. and its trails were closed during the investigation.
"It appears to be an attempted suicide," said Elisa Cox, assistant city manager and spokeswoman for the city.
