LOS ANGELES >> This Thanksgiving, Nate Rudman has a lot to be thankful for.
On Monday, the 16-year-old junior at South Pasadena High School received a kidney from his father in an operation at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
"At first I was a little weirded out because you're putting your father's kidney inside of you," said Rudman, who suffers from kidney failure and hearing loss due to a genetic condition called Alport Syndrome.
