A Monterey Park Police officer on Tuesday denied sexually assaulting or detaining three women in 2014 while he was on duty.
Israel Sanchez of Whittier appeared for an arraignment at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center and pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual battery by restraint, three counts of false imprisonment by violence, two counts of assault by a public officer and one count of soliciting a bribe, according to Sarah Ardalani, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney's office.
