Los Angeles Children's Chorus celebrates 30 years

The year 1986 was a benchmark on the Southern California music scene. Not only was the Los Angeles Opera's first season launched at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, but Rebecca Thompson, a local music teacher, assembled a cadre of school children to create what would become one of the foremost children's choirs in the world -- the Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC).
