BALDWIN PARK >> Before the City Council could select a fifth person to serve on the city's Planning Commission last week, Mayor Pro Tem Monica Garcia had a request to make.
"I'd like to see if we can have a woman on the Planning Commission," Garcia said to her colleagues during their meeting Wednesday night as she asked to postpone appointing the final member to what is arguably the most important citizen advisory board.
