LOS ANGELES -- Donald Sterling wants a judge to order the former Clippers owner's estranged wife to provide an accounting and distribution of $1 billion the real estate mogul maintains he is entitled to after the $2 billion sale of the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.
Sterling's attorney, Bobby Samini, filed court papers Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court stating that Shelly Sterling has ignored repeated requests for the information, so he now is asking a probate court judge who has authority over the Sterling family trust to rule on his client's petition.
