Woman who inspired black Peanuts character shares story in Monrovia

MONROVIA >> The former schoolteacher who persuaded world-famous cartoonist Charles Shulz to add an African-American character to his wildly successful "Peanuts" comic strip shared her unique story with the community Saturday as part of Monrovia's observance of Black History Month.
