Among the first-nighters, there were some moist eyes -- including mine -- during the sustained standing ovation for the West Coast premiere of "Fly," at the Pasadena Playhouse.
The powerful drama is inspired by the legendary Tuskegee Airmen of the Army Air Corps -- aka the African-American Fighter Group -- who flew more than 15,000 missions over Europe and North Africa during World War II.
