CERRITOS - A former aide to Rep. Linda Sanchez has sued her former boss in federal court, claiming she was fired in retaliation for complaining about what she said were ethical violations going on in the Cerritos office.
In the lawsuit, attorneys for Kara Medrano, a Whittier resident, allege that Sanchez, D-Norwalk, spent taxpayer money on campaigning and fund-raising and instructed her staff to delete campaign-related computer documents in preparation for an audit.
