AZUSA >> Residents of all backgrounds gathered to reflect upon the continuing contributions of Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday during the annual "Hands Across Azusa" event, coinciding with the observation of the Civil Rights leader's birthday Monday.
The event began with prayer, song and poetry before the audience was treated to a screening of the 2014 historical drama, "Selma," complete with free popcorn, at the Azusa Civic Auditorium.
