LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Fire Department officials say a 65-year-old man was hospitalized after flames ripped through a house in the Highland Park neighborhood and crews scrambled to keep the flames from spreading to neighboring homes.
Spokeswoman Margaret Stewart says the pre-dawn blaze at the two-story wood-frame home proved stubborn for firefighters early Wednesday.
