2 dead in Hollywood when driver flees LAPD stop, strikes Metro van

HOLLYWOOD -- Two died this morning when a man took off from a police traffic stop in Hollywood and struck a Metro maintenance van, authorities said.

A maintenance worker for the transit agency died in the van, and the car's driver died later at a hospital, authorities said.
