WEST COVINA >> Short of calling his former boss and longtime U.S. Rep. Grace Napolitano a "seat warmer," state Assemblyman Roger Hernandez said Saturday that the congressional representative he hopes to unseat in 2016 has done little to protect and serve San Gabriel Valley residents.
"My focus is not to go to Congress and keep a seat warm," Hernandez, a Democrat, told friends, family and community members at Galster Park where he made an impassioned plea for support in his bid to represent the 32nd Congressional District.
