SAN BERNARDINO >> "I'll take a bullet before you do, that's for damn sure."
That's what an armed San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy told a group of frightened people, including a young boy, as he helped pull them from the Inland Regional Center building after Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik opened fire Wednesday, killing 14 and leaving 21 wounded.
