A former clerk at Pomona Superior Court was sentenced Thursday to 500 hours of community service for stealing more than $6,000 in court fees during a four-year period.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Horwitz also placed 60-year-old Linda Mascorro on three years probation and ordered her to pay $6,345 in restitution to the court, according to Jane Robison, spokeswoman for the District Attorney's Office
Mascorro faced a maximum of 18 years in prison if she had been convicted of 15 counts of misappropriation of public funds.
