IRWINDALE >> Five candidates will face off in November for three Irwindale City Council seats, two of which are claimed by incumbents facing embezzlement charges.
A third incumbent, Julian Miranda, declined to file for re-election, leaving his seat open for one of the challengers to nab. All three challengers are familiar faces in a city of 1,466 people, as each has served on the Planning Commission, City Council, or both.
