This year, for the first time since its inception in 2006, the Pasadena Playhouse/Wells Fargo Diversity Project chose two distinguished Latinos for its ninth-annual Diversity Awards.
Presented on Sept. 13, following the opening of Latina playwright Josefina Lopez's poignant comedy, "Real Women Have Curves," the fundraiser honored Community Awardee Abel Ramirez, longtime Pasadena restaurateur and cultural activist, and Artistic Awardee Kenny Ortega, the eminent producer/director/choreographer.
