LA MIRADA >> After an Independence Day in which some described as a "war zone," City Council members are looking for ways to curb the use of illegal fireworks.
After hearing comments from residents and the Sheriff's Department at Tuesday's meeting, the council asked staff to come back in August and report on what the city can do to help eliminate the problem.
